6 weeks pregnant: Fast facts

Your baby is 1/4 inch long – the size of a lentil.

Your baby's cute little nose, mouth, and ears are starting to take shape. Dark spots mark where the nostrils and eyes are forming.

You're probably feeling early pregnancy symptoms like food aversions, fatigue, nausea, and sore breasts. They're all normal – unfortunately.

If you had a drink or smoked a cigarette before you knew you were pregnant, try not to worry - it's unlikely you did any harm. But it's best to quit smoking, drinking, and using recreational drugs now. Even an occasional glass of wine or a little marijuana is risky.

Are you hoping for a boy or a girl? Most first-time moms we asked said they don't have a preference.

Do veggies turn your stomach right now? That's common in the 1st trimester. Try eating more fruit, take your prenatal vitamin, and talk to your provider if you're concerned.
